On 7 July, the Santa Maria Health School (SMHS) welcomed Margareth Soares Galvão, Executive Manager for Education, Research and Extension at Real Hospital Português (Brazil), in a visit that reinforced the institution’s commitment to internationalisation and the development of strategic partnerships in the field of health.
The connection between the two institutions originated from the interest of an SMHS Nursing student in learning about the healthcare practices and professional environment at Real Hospital Português, demonstrating how academic mobility can foster meaningful institutional collaboration.
The visit further strengthened the partnership already underway between SMHS and Real Hospital Português through the implementation of a Cooperation and Internationalisation Agreement. This cooperation framework promotes the continuous exchange of knowledge, expertise and best practices between both institutions.
At SMHS, we believe that international partnerships are essential to enhancing education, fostering innovation, and creating valuable opportunities for learning and professional development across our academic community.
We thank Real Hospital Português and Margareth Soares Galvão for their visit and for their commitment to this partnership, which marks another important step in the internationalisation strategy of SMHS.
