Between the 3rd and 7th of November, the Santa Maria Health School welcomed Professors Caroline Florindo and Anne-Lise Nadaud from the Institut de Formation en Soins Infirmiers (IFSI), France, under the Erasmus+ programme.

Their visit began with a welcome session led by Professor Beatriz Edra, Coordinator of the Nursing Technical-Scientific Area, followed by a tour of the School. The visiting professors also explored the simulation laboratory, accompanied by Professor Abílio Teixeira, Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with whom they exchanged experiences and perspectives on Nursing education in both institutions.

Throughout the week, they met with the Department of Research, Projects and Internationalisation to discuss future collaborations in research projects and align new Erasmus+ mobility opportunities for both staff and students.

The visit also included a meeting with two IFSI students currently on Erasmus+ mobility, who are undertaking their clinical traineeship at Hospital da Prelada. The professors took the opportunity to follow up on their students’ progress and to experience the international mobility programme firsthand.

This initiative reinforces the commitment of SMHS to establishing international cooperation and to the exchange of good practices in Health education!
