Between 21 and 23 January 2026, Professors Goreti Marques and Ana Paula Conceição will represent Santa Maria Health School at the 14th Ibero-American Congress on University Teaching (CIDU 2026).
The Ibero-American Congress on University Teaching is an international initiative promoted by the Ibero-American Association of University Teaching (AIDU), with the collaboration, in this edition, of the University of Santiago de Compostela. It is a privileged forum for reflection and the sharing of knowledge on contemporary challenges in higher education, bringing together national and international experts from different scientific fields.
The 2026 edition has as its central theme “The University as a Healthy Ecosystem: the Challenge of Well-Being”, proposing an integrated approach to well-being in the university context. Throughout the congress, multiple perspectives related to the health and well-being of academic staff and students will be discussed, as well as professional and career development in higher education, pedagogical innovation and teaching quality, the impact of learning based on digital resources, and the role of artificial intelligence.
Issues related to learning communities, institutional climate and professional networks, new approaches to university didactics, attention to diversity and inclusion, institutional governance and leadership, as well as ethical and deontological aspects of teaching in higher education, among other emerging themes, will also be addressed.
The participation of Santa Maria Health School in this international congress reinforces its commitment to the quality of higher education, pedagogical innovation, and the promotion of academic and institutional well-being.
