From October 14 to 19, the teams of the ClinicalModelling project gathered for a week filled with significant activities, including collaborative meetings and Capacitation Sessions.
The week started in Santiago de Compostela at the University of Santiago de Compostela’s (USC) Faculty of Nursing with the capacitation of teachers, tutors, and trainers on video-self modelling and video-modelling. The teams focused on video capture and editing for professional development.
On October 15, after a productive day of hands-on video editing, the teams visited CiTIUS (Center for Research in Intelligent Technologies of USC), a hub of technological innovation and research.
On October 16, the teams traveled to Porto, Portugal, in an environmentally-friendly, chartered bus. That evening, the participants from both Capacitation Sessions (Santiago and Porto) and other project members came together for a networking dinner in Porto, fostering collaboration and strengthening ties between partners.
October 17 was marked by the Transnational Project Meeting held at Santa Maria Health School. During the meeting, the project partners reviewed the accomplishments of the past year and outlined key tasks and objectives for the next 12 months. The day also included a comprehensive project management review.
On October 18 and 19, healthcare professionals engaged in hands-on capacitation of surgeons and scrub nurses on using smart glasses, refining their approach to the next phase of the project. The participants explored advanced video capture, editing techniques, and data management, preparing them to integrate these innovative tools into their professional practice.
This week-long series of events not only deepened the collaboration among the project partners but also marked an important milestone in advancing the ClinicalModelling project’s goals of enhancing professional development for teachers, tutors, trainers, surgeons, and scrub nurses.
