Professor Duarte Pereira from Santa Maria Health School achieved remarkable success at the International Conference on Frailty and Geriatric Assessments 2025, held on February 18 and 19, 2025, at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Professor Duarte Pereira was awarded first place for the most outstanding poster presentation with the topic:
“Transnational Interdisciplinary Courses on Healthy Aging: The Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University and Santa Maria Health School ‘International Healthy Aging Course’”

Participation in the International Conference on Frailty and Geriatric Assessments 2025 is part of the CAPAGE Project – Promoting Academic and Professional Excellence in Health Care to Meet the Challenges of Aging in Sri Lanka, in which ESSSM is an active partner.
