Within the scope of the Erasmus+ programme, Santa Maria Health School welcomed, from the 9th to the 15th of July 2025, Özge Ecem Şenel, a researcher in the scientific-technical field of Physiotherapy from Istinye University (Turkey), for a staff training mobility week.

The visit began with a welcome session, which included the presentation of Santa Maria Health School team and a guided tour of the school facilities. Throughout the week, several meetings and opportunities for sharing experiences were promoted, including a meeting with Daniela Simões, Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degrees and of the Scientific-Technical Area of Physiotherapy, as well as with faculty members Carlos Crasto, Diogo Silva, and Duarte Pereira, responsible for the fields of Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

The researcher also visited the CIR – Centre for Rehabilitation Research, a research unit that integrates faculty members from the fields of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy at Santa Maria Health School. She was accompanied by Diogo Silva, and the visit also included the participation of members from the Department of Research, Internationalisation and Projects (DIPI), reinforcing institutional cooperation and fostering future international collaborations.

This international mobility experience was marked by the exchange of good practices and the strengthening of ties between the two institutions.
