On June 16th, Santa Maria Health School had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Marlise Lima, Coordinator of the Midwifery Programme at the University of São Paulo (School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities – EACH/USP, Brazil), for a visit to the Simulation Centre and the Nursing laboratories.

The visit aimed to showcase SMHS’s facilities and educational resources, while fostering academic and institutional exchange in the field of health education. The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen dialogue and collaboration in the areas of Midwifery, Nursing, clinical simulation, and pedagogical practices applied to higher education in health sciences.

This initiative also contributes to the School’s internationalisation strategy by promoting international academic partnerships, the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and the development of future opportunities for scientific and educational cooperation between higher education institutions in Portugal and Brazil.
