The third day of the international project GivingCare – Empowering Caregivers was divided into two working days at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.

During the morning the group visited the following facilities:

Medical Simulation Center of the Jagiellonian University

  • A huge and modern building entirely dedicated to clinical simulation activities, from the care of acute patients in the ICU to all nursing and medical practices, including laparoscopic surgery, consultation and teleconsultations.

Municipal Care Center

  • Where there is an experimental day center project with multidisciplinary support and another already in continuity with family rest, that is, each family chosen for the project can leave their loved one, elderly or disabled, for two weeks to be able to rest and During this time, patients benefit from specialized multidisciplinary support with specific activities for some pathologies, such as Alzheimer’s.

University Hospital

  • Visit to the intensive care service with a detailed explanation of the organization of the service.

During the afternoon, the actions to be carried out in the coming months and the organization of the complete course by each partner were discussed.
